Project goal – construction of factory for European bottles production, fitted with modern equipment, ensuring production meeting the international standards. The production will be based on Abizhskoe quartz sand deposit (8 km from Pskov).

Container glassware production (in particular, euro beer bottle) at present time is one of the most profitable branches of industry in Russia, that in turn is an integral part of developed alcoholic beverage and beer industry.

Quartz sand deposit Abizha is located in the territory of Pskov district, in 8 km from Pskov city, on both banks of Abizha River. It contains 3 land plots of total area over 34 hectares.

Excellent sand storage is estimated in 3 million tons in accordance with C1 category. Useful sand thickness – is from 3,6 m to 9,2 m.

At present time the deposit is free – the investor will be empowered for subsoil usage. The own source of glass-making sand is significant competitive advantage

Sand qualitative adjectives:

Sand content is characterized by high homogeneity. All types of sand are related to small uniform-sized group of sand: K 01, T 01, K, T 063.
Content of sand grains finer than 0,1 mm makes up 28,3 to 64 %, content of 0,8 mm is absent.
Chemical composition:
• SiO2 91,4% – 92,2%
• Fe2O3 0,21% – 1,81%
• Al2O3 + TiO2 2,24% – 3,99%
• CaO 0,28 % – 0,45%
• MgO – 0,16% – 0,37%
• K2O + Na2O 1,07% – 1,95%

After treatment the sand can be used for production of dark glass bottles of T type.

Approximate raw material sources, availability of all necessary communications, complete energy supply (including natural gas), and availability of experienced manpower – create sufficient background for establishment of low-cost production. Studied market, as well as ever-growing demand for various kinds of container glassware presents good prospects in development of the given works.
